Koi background.

purchased sept. 2006

kohaku (Sakai) - 16 cm - Sept. 2006
29 cm -April. 2007

Showa (Sakai) - 16 cm - Sept. 2006
31 cm - April. 2007

Price: 3,500 php each


also have other showa, chagoi, ochiba, sanke for sale.


check out the pictures.
The pictures posted here are when the koi's
were first bought. They were still babies.
will add more pictures later.


REASON FOR SELLING : I need to make room for my growing koi's.

I didn't take pictures of the kois.
these are your typical ochiba, chagoi and benigoi.
great kois for beginners who are just getting into the hobby.

The Sanke is local bred.

but the rest are all purchased form Koi's and ponds.
all growing fast in my pond resulting in over crowding.

of course you have to come here and look at the fish first.
you don't want to buy something you haven't seen.

That is how I have done it in the past.

Mike C..Are you still in the hobby or are focused more on your hi-fi system?

I will be doing the annual report of my pond ( no one cares thou...lol ) almost 1 year this coming august
with the kois that I purchased the same time. (all with pictures)

kois from 16cm and today are at 50 cm ( with pictures)

filter pictures
blah blah blah

ay, diba sa mudpond mo yan sa pampanga?

no time to look e. yan ba yung dating sabay tayo bumili ng chagoi and ochiba?

HT pa rin ako ngayon ... pero meron ako pond under construction (sa dad ko), and I'm going to need some pond fillers :)

im going to move all my kois to this pond, and I'm going to start from scratch ...

WOW!!! look at that filter system. looks like they are vortex system.

more info about the pond, please.

filter size, depth...etc etc....

I remember you posted a picture of your dream pond that almost looks like what you are having built at your dad's house....the bridge was the giveaway lol.


anyways..the kois that were grown in the mudpond for 6 months is another batch of kois.
I don't know if you know what happened to that batch, but, I had 10 showa (from knp) and
when I came back to the Philippines, I only got 4 back out of the 10 showa. I was very disappointed
with the caretaker because I am pretty sure he kept the fish to himself.
that batch of kois are now around 50+ cm and are 1 1/2 years old.

then bought another batch of kois for my new pond (6 tosais) and these were purchased at 16 cm.
4 of the kois are at 47 to 50 cm today and still growing. not even 1 year old.
1 died of ulcer
1 is male and is only 33 cm


the chagoi we bought the same time from knp is the king of my pond. it is male, but looks like a female.
he is fat and is around 65 cm and just turned 2 years old this june.

I currently have 21 kois in my pond.

need to get rid of some because I don't want a crowded pond. Mike Hernandez suggested I should only have 8 kois in my pond.


Mike C. you need ot post pictures of your dad's pond atleast 2x a week to keep
us updated.

mikoi, sobrang daming changes, nawala ko na kung ilang gallons talaga yung pond.

depth is 4 feet to 4 and half feet lang, kasi I can't swim. I have to be able to stand in the pond without drowning :)

guestimate: 12-16k gallons yung pond + filter

filter system is composed of 3 sets, dual vortex each set fed by a bottom drain and skimmer each ...
filter media will be kaldnes media (moving bed) - sana ...

I'm already experimenting with my existing pond with moving beds, but I used ultra bio media there ...

so nasaan yung mga kois mo na for sale?

papabili ako sa canada ng kaldnes, inuuwi ng kamaganak ko partial partial when they come (my ultra bio media arrived the same way)

what area do you live in?
