Hi Aragorn / Sugz Masoten, Dimilin, Trichloroform, Dylox, Dipterex, Neguvon, and Supaverm are all organophosphates meant to eradicate parasites. Organophosphates also has side effects on the fish nervous system (neuro toxins), that’s why you will notice that after application your kois become a little jumpy and darts around the pond than normal because of this. Overdose of organophosphates will definitely kill your koi if not deform them. Underdose will take you longer time to eradicate these visual and microscopic parasites .As to what specific chemical to use depends on the specific parasite and host. For example, Neguvon in the early days here in Manila was the popular anti parasite that replaced the practice of introducing angel fish as “kuto(fish lice) and pana (anchor worm) eaters” of your kois. Looking at the literature attached Neguvon the makers recommend neguvon specifically for cattles. Just be extra careful in handling organophosphates, the use of a mask is highly recommended. Yes koi enthusiasts gather in kOis & pOnds every Thursday night (although the number varies). They usually come in around 7pm. It’s a very casual gathering of fellow koi nuts, nothing formal, nobody planned it, they just came in one thurday night and before we knew it it’s already a weekly affair. Both of you are welcome to join. Dreamkoi
