Mikoi's grow out event	Can't Post

Well...anyways its that time again for me to say goodbye to Philippines again and say goodbye to my koi koi's.

anyways I will be doing an experiment. my own grow out event, my fish were taken to
pampanga today and will be put in a mudpond and will be staying there until I come back home again.

my chagoi. purchased from kois and pond last april 23, 2005 at 11 cm only.
today it was netted out and measured at 42 cm. from 4 inches to 16 inches in
8 months in a concrete pond.

8 Sakai kindai and old style showa purchased form kois and pond on Dec.21 2005 at 11 cm

2 Isa Showa purchased form kois and ponds last june 29. 2005 at 17 cm. today its only at 26 cm. maybe it will grow faster this time in the mudpond.

2 benigoi at 26 cm each also from kois and ponds.
1 Ki Utsuri at 17 cm from kois and ponds.

Im posting the pictures to share with the forumers some before and after pictures.
what my fish will look like after 6 or 7 months.
thats it. its just for fun. nothing more nothing less.

how big and deep is your pond again? (mine is only 3 feet)
what do you feed? (I feed tomigai wheatgerm)
how often? (I only feed once nowadays)

mine is less than 3 feet, its only 28 inches deep.

what do you feed? (I feed tomigai wheatgerm)

I feed Tomigai Taberu (economy) wheatgerm is expensive. hehehehe

how often? (I only feed once nowadays)

every 3 hours starting at 6 am, 9 am, noon, 3 pm and finally at 6 pm.

Mike C. Magkapatid yun chagoi natin. we bought the chagois the same time. I think it was the first batch of chagois by Mike H.

your avatar is also a Isa showa that you killed ( by accident) magkapatid din yun, with my Isa showa.
we bought them also the same time. but yours went to koi heaven na.

how big is your chagoi na?

im hoping to measure my chagoi tonight or tom. night
but i doubt malaki na yun (gutom ata)

unlike my growing pond inside the house, na may maid nagpapakain madalas, here im the only one feeding them and only on lunchbreaks.

If you look carefully in the picture, you will notice a 6" pipe that supplies the water to the mudpond.

koi's going in the mudpond and will be revisited when I come back after
6 months. of course it will be fed everyday by the koi taker.

25 kois in an almost 300 square meter mudpond. its a risk to what will happen
but it will be a lesson for me after 6 months.
flop or not, we will see.

Ok guys!

after 5 months of being out of the country im finally back
with an update.

the sakai showa's grew from 4" to 8" (3 out of the 8 sakai showa were missing) Pirate

the 18" chagoi turned out to be male and now is around 24" (thin body) Frown

The Isa showa (female) from 8" to 15"
Isa Showa (male) 8" to 12" (thin body)
Ki utsuri 6" to 10" ( not sure if bigger ) will check again
