Hi GC and all guys,

As we are requested to make a list of 40 out of 80 in top choice to last choice. Would our friends here mind to table all the choices with/without their names for the sake of benefiting people like myself. At least I can compare my choice with your choice to guage whether mine is too far away from the veteran Kichis.

Hope to get consent from everybody before Adam can release the list
OR
Just create a POLL.

For myself, I was eager to find out whether I made the right choice
AND
How many of my choice was snapped up. So far, more than half out of 40 was snapped up.

Tan Lee King - A TABLE WOULD DEFINITELY BEFEFIT US.

Hi Tan,

The list of 40 is a requirement for those that cannot make it to the event in person. Personally, as I will be there, my list is not long but I know that I will be able to make a fast decision on the spot.

I think your idea is a good one but it may be difficult to get everybody's consent, especially as some of those that participated is not active posters or introduced through Max.

Why not you organise a poll and let everybody come in on a voluntary basis and I wouldn't mind sharing what I was looking at.

Cheers..

Hi APLBW,

Don't said educate lah. Blush Just my 2 cents worth of opinion. Smile
You really have eyes for beauty.

27 is good. Body conformation point toward a large future koi. I like the size of its head and also look like its have good body height as well from the pic. Silky skin quality is wonderfull. How good the tsuya and teri have to see personally to know so can't comment on this.
Shiroji is excellent. Many of us often overlook the important of shiroji because naturally our attention tend to go to hi, sumi and the rest. When a koi become big in future all the more it'll reflect the important of shiroji. Shiroji is the primary color. Good shiroji makes the koi standout from the rest it also create a 3D impression of the hiban and sumi.
Hi nerikome is enough and will thicken further. Sashi, kiwa look sharp and clean.
Both quality of kasane and tsubo sumi present well. However a bit too much sumi on head. See the spot of small sumi on the left of the head? High possible more will emerge. How these 2 spots of sumi develop will be interesting cos it'll greatly effect the overall appearance of the koi when it become big. Sumi on the body are well placed with more underlying sumi to come.
This Sanke will not takes too long to finish I reckon about 4 years which is not bad cos many of us like to have a change of new koi in our valueable limited pond space after a while.

Cheers
Koh

The prep, organisation and the event format is very good. It will be hard to beat. Can pinjam the format ah?Having organised 3 similar events over in KL, I appreciate the dedication of those involved. I am surprised you even managed to weigh the koi.Crazy The poster is like Pro lah! ot to copy that too!Sly

And to the participants. Good on you... your response to this event will spur the organisers to have more events.

Hi Cooky,

We're all learning from one another here. Smile
You are so lucky to be in this event. Ought to thanks GCSpyder, Max, Daisuke and the rest of the gang for all the times and effort they put in insprite of their busy daily schedules.
No worry. You have selected a great Sanke. From you choice of selection you are not so new lah. In fact all these 140 Sanke represent the elite of the 500,000 offsprings of Ryu. They even have certificate from Momo farm to guarantee their qualities. Of course their future development lie in the individual hobbyist rearing skills.
Conformation on 24 is good. Its look set to become a big and robust koi in future.
Shiroji is nice and thick. Nerikome on hi is enough. This kind of pessimon color hi can withstand fast grow without tearing. Kasane sumi is thick and jet black but can't tell the tsubo sumi from pic. 2 spots of sumi just behind head will probably merge later to become one big block which is just as well cos the tail also have big block of sumi. Hope not much sumi will emerge later beside those that are predictable now cos this Sanke got quite heavy hiban. If more unseen sumi emerge later there will be not enough shiroji to strike a balance making this Sanshoku appear a little messy. If this does happen let this koi put on a bit more volume so that the shiroji on both side of the body sort of 'push' up the hiban alittle which make the shiroji slightly more visualable. But carefull not to make it look plump.

Cheers
Koh
