Hi Cooky, We're all learning from one another here. You are so lucky to be in this event. Ought to thanks GCSpyder, Max, Daisuke and the rest of the gang for all the times and effort they put in insprite of their busy daily schedules. No worry. You have selected a great Sanke. From you choice of selection you are not so new lah. In fact all these 140 Sanke represent the elite of the 500,000 offsprings of Ryu. They even have certificate from Momo farm to guarantee their qualities. Of course their future development lie in the individual hobbyist rearing skills. Conformation on 24 is good. Its look set to become a big and robust koi in future. Shiroji is nice and thick. Nerikome on hi is enough. This kind of pessimon color hi can withstand fast grow without tearing. Kasane sumi is thick and jet black but can't tell the tsubo sumi from pic. 2 spots of sumi just behind head will probably merge later to become one big block which is just as well cos the tail also have big block of sumi. Hope not much sumi will emerge later beside those that are predictable now cos this Sanke got quite heavy hiban. If more unseen sumi emerge later there will be not enough shiroji to strike a balance making this Sanshoku appear a little messy. If this does happen let this koi put on a bit more volume so that the shiroji on both side of the body sort of 'push' up the hiban alittle which make the shiroji slightly more visualable. But carefull not to make it look plump. Cheers Koh
