Sunlight.. overfeeding.. high nitride level, etc.. install UVC to get rid of green water.

a properly sized TT or BS will do magic for you within 5-8 days assuming your pond is not VERY heavily overstocked and overfed and underfiltered.

Hi Zirkoi ,

fully agreed with Vincent007 , post # , UV Steriilizer is the most effective way of controlling the algae spores or green water in your tank . Nothing beats that .. though many breeders would advise not using it , as over-use of this UV lights tends to damage the coloration and condition of the koi's skin .. but sufficient usage just to control the algae spore would certainly makes your Koi admiration more meaningful .... Switch it on , for a few days and off it when the water is clear enough and repeat this everytime you feel the algae spores or green water comes back ..

p.s .. there's various capacities on the UV Sterilizers .. check with the sellers before you buy one ...

cheers

David Soon
