hi...


there will be a shut down of pub supply for two hour..

how long can koi last without air..

my is a fgt

Hi k21,
It all depends on how many koi you have or your stock level.
But what I would do is to stop feeding them 2 days before the power shut down, change 30% water one to two days before the event.
Take half a day leave to stand-by scoping water if you observe the koi are coming up to the surface to breath.

Hi, normally the shut down will not last 2 hours. Normally they will put in a lot of buffer to prevent complaints. Anyway CheeHui is right to stop feeding to get prepare. For the shut down time, standby at side of the pond and spray the water manually occasionlly will help.

A better way of managing this problem is to have a small canister of oxygen, those they fish shop use to bag fish, connect it to a few diffusers and let a small amount of oxygen bubble into the pond. Can last for many hours. Good Luck
