where to get koi fry? Can't Post

hello all,

a happy new year to everyone here!

i just wanted to enquire if anyone here knows where we can get koi fry?

there was a time a while back (actually close to a decade back) when a japanese gentleman was selling koi fry (within 2 cm and less mostly) and it was a bit of a pot luck really.

i mean, you have little idea how or what the koi was going to turn out to be, but i think therein lies the sheer fun, the gamble that you take and the pride you get from rearing a koi from its initial stages all the way through.

i wanted to know where we can get koi fry now. i mean, the farms at nippon koi farm, etc, etc, they do sell small koi, but normally at least at 2 inches or more.

is there anyway where we can get koi fry proper, and possibly even those from japan, or is that only wishful thinking?

please do let me know and i'll be grateful to get you feedback!

thanks again!!

Hi, those 2" or more fries selling at Nippon for 5 for $10 are those culled. If you want quality one, you can check with the workers there. I once bought 2" WT fries from them at 3 figure and turned out pretty good.

Regards
