In brunei its hard to find japanese koi these days.. but recently I found a petshop that sell this koi. When i asked the shop keeper what type of koi they are selling, they said the koi were japanese koi but it was breed in Thailand.
Since in japan, there was a new disease spreading, so they stop importing from japan.Unsure

So im asking ppl from Thailand, Koi lovers, wats your opinion on the kois breed in thailand? Since im new to kois so wanna know in its quality, how big can it grow, food and so on..

I really apreciate your helpWink.. coz the price of the kois they were selling were about B$45, size 13cm, which is kinda expensive for its kind and sizeCrazy..one more thing, wat is the cost of the kois in thai (same size as ^^above)?

Hi, Maxilla,

We don't have Japanese Koi on sale in Thailand because of KHV as well. The price of the Koi depends on the quality. Do you have a photo? How much in US$ term?

they still sell japanese koi at alot of places but, none of the big dealers do, unless you order them

Oic..thnx... sorry i dun hav the pic since one of the bruneian user (senior user) went there and bought some kois...he said that its quality wasn't good...about normal type...

yeah..i heard that Thailand usually dun breed kois...but about the KHV virus...i thinks its over now rite? wif its prevention n vaccine...and i heard that Thailand hav good quality ranchus... if so...how much does it normally cost for a AA type..? well..me just need general idea n cost n stuff...

i think all the breeders are vaccinating there koi with the khv vaccine

Hi,

Thailand export lots of Ranchu. We can find local breeded Ranchu for the price range of US$10 to US$100. Imported Ranchu from Japan cost more. Can be upto U$2500. I will post the picture next time when I am at home.
