Indiana-concern Can't Post

I posted this in the health forum too, but I am helping my Dad take care of a pond that has many goldfishin it. It is kind of small, and 2 big koi were added last July from someone else's pond. One of them now looks like it has swallowed a softball, but has always been big. A heater has kept the water from freezing so their normal breeding timing may be off. It doesn't seem to have any other symptoms, just looks like it could burst at any moment. Could she be pregnant? I am new to this stuffSmile

Is the large area equal on both sides of the koi, or is it uneven. When you say small how small are we talking and how big are the koi that you have? Did you feed them through the winter if so you are not supposed to until the water stays above 50 . Keep in mind if she is full of eggs and the other koi you have is male should they breed your water quality is gonna go crazy and it is not gonna smell good. Also keep in mind that koi and goldfish will breed with each other and the babies are not goodlookin at all. P.S can you tell if its scales are standing out like a pinecone or do they look normal?
