I'm a tottal noob in Vancouver Island Nanaimo. 
But I'd like any help of the the who, what where ,pros and cons, do and don'ts of koi ponds here on the Island.
As well where do you get the most relyable suplys like pump and filters? Is there a large koi farm in Victorai still?
Is there rulles of how large a pond you can have in the City?
I'm wanting to do a min 3-4000 gal Japanes Koi pond. With a water fall at the shalow end and a sumerged pump at the other deep end. I've got the massive flat rocks so far. And Japans bridge an bamboo. Meet a guy last year that showed me how to make a 3 stage system out of rain barrels. And keeping my eye on Ebay for pumps an UV lights.
Any way any help localy is a good thing . thanks.
