another dead fish Can't Post

Help!

We lost our entire pond last year (our pond is 4000 gal. and one year old)
Before we re-stocked in the spring, we medicated the pond with ???? it was green-blue
and stains everything. Sorry, forgot the name.
One of big fish died recently....looked like maybe mouth-rot????? I'm getting so discouraged. We have already stopped feeding as the water is about 45-50 degrees.
My husband is the "keeper of the pond", but it is time for me to step-in.
Where should my nitrates and ph levels be? I'd like to try a water change and maybe salt if that would be a good start???? How much salt would be ok for a 4000 gal pond?
We also have numerous plants in the water that are starting to die. My husband insists on leaving them in so they come back next spring. I think they are making the water dirty and causing heavy algae buil-up??? Help. I don't want anymore of my fishies to die.

Thanks,
Jennifer in Duvall,WA

You need to post your water parameters for Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia, pH.

I would also advise posting this in the Pond Water Quality section - more people will view it there and be able to help.

Thx
