i have been to a few popular koi shops in n. california such as Tse Koi, Genki Nishikigoi, and Champion Koi... but are there more prestigious koi shops i have missed?

try Somethin Fish Sea in the Marina food area in san jose on monterey highway to get beautfiul healthy cheap BUTTERFLY kois for $7.99 us dollars for 4-5 in or $11.99 for bigger ones around 6-8 inches Wink
