pond camera Can't Post

I am looking for some information about pond cameras. I would like purchase an unobtrusive underwater pond camera for a friend whose pond is about 4 feet deep. It contains about 3,000 gallons of water and about 10 fish. It is heated in the winter and I would like them to be able to connect and view from their computer.

Can anyone recommend where I can begin to look for this.

Thanks much.

No offense linear but posting and telling people to simply run a search on google is simply trying to gain posts. Everyone knows how to do a search or else they would not have found this forum. Unimpressed

no offense too, but posting twice instead of editing seems that way too.

Aragorn I posted twice because you can only edit it for something like 2 hours after you post it I think. So I had to repost. And you put it nicely as the too many search for yourselves.

HI Choob

What picture are you talking about? Is it the icon under my name? Actually those are my koi, both of them are kohaku a female and a male. I just like it that way so that it would look differentSly.

I found some on ebay...you can also get a transmitter to post out by the pond and it will transmit to your tv. Really low prices. Be careful though, one camera I looked at listed as waterproof was really only "weatherproof" Go to ebay and try "underwater camera" and do not check "search within...." Good luck.

Hi Barbara. If you visit Koiphen.com there are some posts about great quality underwater cameras being useed, and occasionally sold by, the main guy who started the site, Stephen. I don't recall the brand name but I too am interested in buying one. Stephen has some great underwater video on the site.
Thanks, Dennis

I got my IP banned after I finished registering at koiphen.com! And the admins won't tell me what happened. My name was not inappropriate and I had not even posted. Very dissatisfied with that forum.Mad

I'm using a Lorex CVC6991 camera in my pond. It is the camera that koiphen.com is using. seems to be a great camera. Shop the internet as I have seen them for as little as $160.00 US to $225.00 US. Hope this helps.

Re: [Barbara] pond camera [In reply to] Can't Post

Ebay nearly always has self lighted pond cameras at very good prices. There's a guy in Canada who lists one for about 130 bucks that has a 60 foot cable so you can hook it up in the house to a TV Monitor. You can also get a nice small flat screen monitor as well.
